The Story Begins
Over the last few years I have grown to understand the importance of designing your lifestyle instead of aiming for goals.
For many years I was highly successful in anyone’s definition, but in reality I was chasing the wrong things. Instead of seeking to be where I wanted to be, doing what I wanted to do and have all that I desired to have, I was seeking the thinks and the trappings of success, without ever realising that I was creating a trap for myself.
I realised that I had become a prisoner in my own life – that the things I wanted were not to be found in the showrooms of car dealers, or the windows of estate agents, but in the people I spend my time with, the places I am able to go and the hours I spend doing the things I desire to do.
What I desire is Money – Time – Freedom.
The money to live as I choose to live, the time to do the things I want to do and be with the people I want to be with and the freedom to be anywhere I choose to be and live the life I want to live.
This kind of freedom is not to be found in the things we were taught as children, or the example of our society, because it is clear that most of the people in our society are in slavery.
“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Realising that I was not a free man I determined to learn the methods of the New Rich, those people that spend the vase majority of their waking time in the pursuit of the things that make them happy, building experiences that make a life worth living.
I have decided that – TODAY – I am going to start the process of building my life of freedom. This Blog is here to ensure that I not only record my progress but also get feedback along the way. So please feel free to leave me a comment.
